How do I connect a camera to a Costar XDI Network Video Recorder (NVR)?

    this would be great if my camera had "poe" ot cat 5 cable, but ive got siamease cable video cable and power cable with bnc connectors on video cable

    Hello Neel

    Thank you for your inquiry.  I sent you an email with the manuals.  

    To go further in detail with your first inquiry.  The XDI is an NVR system. Which means it only accepts IP cameras.  If you would like to use analog cameras on the XDI you will need to use the CR4000VS or CR8000VS.  The CR4000VS and the CR8000VS are known as encoders.  These encoders are designed to work with the XDI recorder.  The encoder change the analog signal into a digital signal that the XDI accepts.
