Issue:
How do I add an IP camera to the XDH recorder?
Prerequisites:
The IP camera must be addressed to the Infrastructure network scheme the recorder uses. The IP camera must have the Time and Date set as close to the recorder as possible and if you desire to record on Motion the camera needs the Motion enabled as well.
*NOTE* The XDH recorder is a first generation hybrid Analog/IP recorder. Be aware that the hardware is only for use with older IP cameras that came out about the time the recorder did.
Resolution:
Follow the steps below to add the camera to the XDH.
1. Get into the recorder Menu and go to Camera.
2. Click on Network Camera.
3. Click Scan to enter the scan menu.
4. . The below box pops up next.
5. Here you can set the Protocol to the desired scan method and also set the scan Mode to either AutoScan or IP address scan as shown below. Then click Scan.
Note: Most cameras you will use Onvif Conformance for the protocol
6. Once found click on box next to the camera and then click on Device Register to authenticate the camera. This box below will pop up for Authentication, use the cameras username and password in these boxes.
7. Once the Valid Username and Password are entered click OK and the device will be added.
Once the camera is added please click close and save. This will exit you to the main menu. The camera IP cameras for the XDH are located on channels 17-32.
