Problem:

How to test SMTP on Central point software?

Solution:

There is no actual button to test SMTP through the Central Point software.

Instead, SMTP was tested either by:

Configuring a camera to use motion alerts that send an email. If this doesn't work, there is something wrong with the network or the configuration.
The other option would be to set up and use a free SMTP service like Yahoo and test this locally at the recorder.
