Issue:
Hanwha cameras not recording motion events on the XDI NVR.
Pre-Requisite:
- Hanwha Camera
- PC for programming Hanhwa Camera
- XDI Recorder with the latest version of the firmware
Solution:
- If the camera is already registered to the XDI recorder you will need to unregister the camera from the XDI recorder and factory reset the camera.
- Please read this article on how to remove a camera from the XDI.

- Please read this article on how to remove a camera from the XDI.
- After the factory reset you will need to log back into the camera's web interface and set up a new password.
- Verify the date and time are correct.
- In the camera navigate to Setup>Event>Event Setup. Check the Motion Detection box.
- Add the camera back to the recorder using these steps.

At the recorder navigate to Setup>Event>Video Analytics and check the Motion box for the camera that was just registered. Click Apply then OK.
- You should now be back to the 2 rows of Icons. Select Record and then Schedule.
- Make sure the camera that you added is in the Channel Column. (It does not need its own entry. It just needs to be added to the existing schedule entry).
- Click Apply and then OK.
- Click anywhere not on an Icon to get back to the live screen.
The motion should be set up. If you need to make any adjustments to the sensitivity or do any motion masking, it will need to be done through the camera's web interface.
