Issue:
I would like Starnet Pro to send me an email when my recorder is disconnected from the server.
Pre-requisite:
- Starnet Pro
- SMTP Setup in Starnet Pro
- Users with email addresses in Starnet Pro
- Devices Connected to the Starnet Pro
Solution:
There are a bunch of events that Starnet Pro can send you an email notification of when they occur. A few are:
- Device Connection
- Device Disconnection
- Low Battery
- Motion Detection
- Object Detection
- Video Loss
- Video Blind
- Video Analytic
- Trip Zone
- And so on ...
- Open the Starnet Pro Setup.
- Click on Event Management.
- Click on Schedule Setup.
- Click the "+" at the top left corner of the box. This will open 4 new boxes.
- Double-click on the Time Coverage box.
- Select Always and click Ok
- Double-click on the Condition box.
- Click Add.
1. Give it a name.
2. Select the Device(s). For all the devices select the Event from any device at the top.
3. Select the event(s) that you would like to receive an email notification. Note: not all events are compatible with all devices.- Click Save at the bottom.
- Click OK at the bottom.
- Double-click on the Action box.
- Select Email Notification for Action Type.
- Click OK at the bottom.
- Double-click on the Target box.
- Select the users that are going to receive the email.
- Click OK at the bottom.
- Click the OK button at the bottom to close the Schedule Setup.
